The most significant challenge to public engagement is the limited amount of contemporary stakeholder development strategies.

The challenge for stakeholders is referred to as the data relationship divide.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT PLAN
A comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan allows for the participation of neighborhood, community, faith and small business stakeholders.

The engagement plan strategy empowers stakeholders to communicate, collect and distribute data.

The strategy makes available an assessment of stakeholder issues and informs the design of roundtable discussions, development sessions, summits and conferences.

Roundtable Discussions

Function: Facilitate communication

Roundtable discussions build the capacity to engage with data. Discussions display how to facilitate ideas.
They engage stakeholders, and provide a framework for terms, explanations and intentions to be stated, collected and displayed. They compare approaches to partnership/collaboration.

Development Sessions

Function: Conduct assessments to impact prevention/intervention strategies

Development sessions build the capacity to respond with data. Sessions display how to conduct assessments. They respond to stakeholders' emotions about leadership and organize ideas and resolve conflicts with data driven practices for each category of stakeholders. They prioritize outcomes, solutions and best practices among collaborative partners.

Summits

Function: Design practices for funding resources

Situational summits build the capacity to measure data. Summits display how to use quantitative measures and qualitative measures.  They measure data of stakeholders, explore communication strategies to sustain collaboration and resource management, and allow stakeholders to have effective roundtable discussions and development sessions.

Conferences

Function: Coordinate participation

Stakeholder conferences build the capacity to participate with data. Conferences display how to plan, develop, evaluate and analyze projects, programs, ministries, initiatives, coalitions and collaborations and networks. They identify strategies of stakeholders.
